Oh no...

While the aging rock stars they've had for the last few years might not be ideal, I'd still much rather listen to The Who/Springsteen/the Stones/Sir Paul than any more of this over-processed, talent-less pop "music" that currently pollutes the airwaves. Let's just hope Fergie doesn't have a wardrobe malfunction...

Now if we could only go back to 2008 when Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers played, we'd be in good shape!

boobies!

Though I'm probably not a fan of the Pop Music genre any more than you are, It's a little unfair to suggest that The Black Eyed Peas are "talentless" don't you think?

They're very talented at promotion and booking, that's for sure.

I had the misfortune of seeing them live on TV. Awful! It was like synchronized shouting match.

Oh puke. I think the chick can sing a little but the rest (not counting the background band of course) are useless.

It's good to know we'll have plenty of time to make a beer run at halftime.

It will be better than the Who were last year. As for their talent, I still consider there first three albums as some of the best hip hop albums of all time, the Fergie joined them and it all started to go down hill.

+1

Can't remember the last time I watched a halftime SB show. Why bother?

I predict a lip synching car wreck or pitchy crap with a lot of "Put your hands in the air y'all....uhhh, yea...are you feeling it people....I can't hear you...." Fergie will wear something outrageously tight and being long in the tooth for it...won't pull it off.

The backing musicians, if we can hear them, will probably be spot on.

They should be, they will have done the tracks three weeks prior to the show in some other city.

Thank god nobody really watches the lip sync fest between halves. Just another in a long line of garbage shows put on for no real reason.

We're not going to waste bandwidth with threads trashing a group, style of music or "the state of today's music".
