2112 - The Reassumption

As some of you may know, I write a lot of lyrics, the msot recent of which was a side story to 2112 where someone is killed by the priests, meets the elder race and returns to overthrow the Federation. OPBASSMAN1994 suggested it be unleashed, so here it is...

2112 – The Reassumption
Here I stand before you now,
I won’t give in, I will not bow,
To you who rid me of my mind.

I broadcast with my own two hands,
From mountain top to desert sands,
We must let the people know.

This price is one that’s worth paying,
To let them hear just what I’m saying,
I will become a martyr for our cause.

So take me now, do what you will,
This message is one you cannot kill,
We will assume control.

And break me,

Until we,
Meet once again,
I leave you with these words,

Fear me,
Hear me,
We shall return…

I am drifting on the astral plain,
Alone and empty, half insane.
I have no form, I cannot feel,
I have lost control of what is real.

A blinding light shines before me,
A beacon of hope for all to see.
As I move towards this brazen miracle,
I am greeted by an elder oracle.

As he steps forth to greet me,
I see our lives are empty,
And the elder race was right all along.


And as he takes me by the hand,
I see this was all planned,
A messiah for the elder race, I am.

I see the works of gifted hands,
That grace this strange,
And wondrous land.

I know now we must break free,
Lay bare the world for all to see,
And return to glory.

Rally the troops and surge the ranks,
Crush their guard and take the flanks,
Kill their leaders one and all.

Take the fight into their hands,
Reclaim the lost and barren lands,
We shall watch the red star fall.

Into the heart of Megadon,
This fight is one which must be won,
The temple must be torn down.

The temples now are all gone,
A better life for every son,
Raise the blue flag proudly high in hand.
