25 Years In The Slammer for Boy Band Creator Lou Pearlman

Sign in to disble this ad
Can you sense my joy, my overwhelming euphoria and glee?

It's official folks, Lou Pearlman, the low-life swindler/con-artist and purveyor of such musical abominations as The Backstreet Boys, N'Sync et al got himself 25 years in Federal prison for swindling individual investors and banks out of some $300 million since the 1980's.

U.S. District Judge G. Kendall Sharp, if perchance we meet in person, I'd not only like to shake your hand but also buy you dinner to thank you for putting away this arrogant, greedy lowest form of pond slime! Not only for the swindling/bilking part, but for inflicting that God-Awful Boy-Band crap on us as well! This dumba$$'s sentence is well deserved!

A St Petersburg Times story HERE

I remember that during the first "Making the Band" (O-Town, remember?), Lou Perlman seemed to me to be the living equivalent of Jabba the Hut. Fat, greedy, and evil.

Plus, he really did like boys in more ways than one:

Absolutely disgusting. Way too much hearsay and truth stretching for me to take it totally seriously though.

Funny. At the bottom of this page you can buy Backstreet Boys ringtones to line his pockets even more.

I believe everything I've ever read about Lou Pearlman. Why do you all think the Backstreet Boys and N'Sync got away from him ASAP?

If he's the guy responsible for the boy band craze, did they try him for Crimes Against Humanity?

What?

I remember seeing him on MuchMusic. He is so greedy and gross. I don't have beef with the boy band phenomenon, but he's just a nasty person. Like he isn't already rich enough.

don't get it twisted, max martin can write some good pop songs.
you may not dig it, but them songs are catchy.

besides, if they both got tried, their bazillions of dollars could probably keep them out of jail or the firing squad.

NO wait. This could work. But in stead of going for execution, they should be fored to use their powers for good and push some actual good music down the publics throat the way they did teh Boy Bands.

Could you picture the media machine that made us know about NSYNC or the Backstreet Boys being used for say, Medeski Martin and Wood? Or maybe Dispatch? Something interesting.

Conan O'Brien made a somewhat funny joke about it last night:

"He got 25 years: 5 for money laundering, and 20 for creating those boys bands. . . "
