3 Misc Questions

Sign in to disble this ad
1.) Does anyone here know if Marshall's warranty (5yr paryts, 3yr labour) is transferrable, and if it is valid in both Canada and the US?
For example, the amp was originally sold in Canada and then sold to a US buyer.

2) Does Musician's Friend not do trade-ins on instrument amplification for a specific reason?

3) Can somebody point me in the direction of a good tube "wiki" site. I'd like to learn more about the different types of valves/tubes and what their characteristics are. Reason: Some people talk about swapping out tubes and such, and I'd like to learn more about this.

Thanks guys!

I've sent e-mails to both JAM Industries (Marshall's Canadian Distributor), as well as to the official (UK) Marshall site but have not heard back yet..

1. Somone does know; not me. I doubt it, though.
2. Amps can be like underwear or lingerie- you never know what someone has done to it, so returns are unadviseable for a retailer.
3. Again, I'm sure *someone* can, but not me. There are many threads on tubes here, including 'this tube vs that tube', so a search might be in order.
I hope this helps.

Gotta say that I've never heard amps compared to underwear before

GeoffByrne,
That is exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks, mate! I'd buy you a good single malt scotch, but alas you're "in the UK!"

1 question down, 2 more to go....
