Hey guys, my band just got out of the studio a few weeks ago and ended up with 5 tracks to go on our debut EP titled "What Happens Here". Here's a link to the myspace that has 3 of the 5 songs. Let me know what you think!

Hey . . not too shabby!! The guitar tone is kinda, well.. pedestrian-sounding (tone-wise) but the song structure itself is pretty interesting... The drums are mixed very well.

We wanted a really mainstream sound so we used a combo of various amp modelers and a Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 100 for distortion. For cleans we used a Carvin something or other and just EQing to get some of the chorusy, flangy effects. Digital delay as well. I was pretty happy with the guitar tone and I'm super picky when it comes to that stuff cuz neither one of our guitarists really know how to use their amps well. Funny thing is for bass I just plugged straight in to a super expensive pre-amp and then just used an SVT modeler to get that sound. For all digital, it came out pretty good IMO. Drums are 70% acoustic and 30% triggers and get sent away for mixing to the same guy that does the mastering and he spends about 2 days doing that so everything is perfect . We recorded at Chango Studios in Casselberry, FL in case you wanted to check out his other work.

We recorded at Chango Studios in Casselberry, FL. He has a full Pro Tools HD rig and knows how to use it very well. His mastering guy also uses a Pro Tools rig and mixes the drums separately while we are working on guitars and what not. The myspace was designed by a friend in Photoshop and then coded in by the guy who does his coding. Our friend's company is http://squidswithskeletons.com. Cost some money but it was worth it. The code just gets copy pasted into the About Me section in the myspace profile.

Very marketable sound. Sounds like a lot of bands my teenage daughter's friend's listen to.
