We went to one of the early shows of their last tour and I was blown away by the band. P-Nut is great, the drummer was really tasty- great snare work, great stoner/rocker guitar player. Their rap/singing starts to bug me, but the band was awesome. I enjoyed it enough to get tickets to one of the last shows of the tour to see them again. Once again, the band was great- but this time around they gave the singer a guitar for a few songs. The guy couldn't play well. I think once the crew even mistakenly gave him a guitar tuned drop d and he didn't notice he was fingering the chords wrong. Huge pet peeve. The front men aren't my taste, but I think the band is really underated. Anyway, congratulations Aram, that is an amazing opportunity. Have a blast!

Have a blast! | Agreed, they absolutely kill it live, probably one of the tightest bands out there now! Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen any mess ups like that, so maybe an off night? Either way, I couldn't be more pumped -- thanks again for the good wishes! |

I try to explain to him that many bassists actually ENJOY a support role, keeping things together without having to call attention to yourself. I usually end up summing up my side with "Most of us aren't P-Nut."
That said I like their sound and some of their songs. But regardless of his playing talent I think that dude set back bass players pretty far in that argument....
...yet I somehow find Flea's persona endearing. |

I used to play with a guy who was his first drum teacher. |
