Well, standard Mandolin tuning is EADG. That tuning sounds vaguely familiar.

Standard mandolin tuning is actually GDAE as opposed to bass being EADG....but i suppose you could tune it to fourths anyway....cool look.

DOH!!!!

I had just googled "Mandolin Tuning" and the page that came up said:

but later on in the article (where I didn't bother to read to) it states:
