Does anyone here know of a company that will make/makes a 4" wide, 60" long leather strap? The longest that I can find is a 54" and it sits too high.

You must play _VERY_ heavy metal

I wish I had a good answer for you. You may need to make part of it yourself: Leathercraft and Leather Craft Supplies - Tandy Leather Factory

Or you may try to see if Levy's will do any thing for you: Straps - Levy's Leathers

Levy's has the right length if you go to the XL, but only 2 1/2" wide.

I'm on the same market as you, Texan. I just can't seem to find a strap that meets ALL those criteria, either.

I guess literally TOO MUCH to ask without getting one custom made.

I had a strap made by a leather working friend, to my specs, in 1977. I still use it to this day. Check with a saddle shop - they are bound to know someone who will make you a nice 4" padded strap, and personalize it however you want. So what if it costs a little more? Its custom and will last you a lifetime!

Making a strap isn't too difficult. Fabric shops, as well as some military surplus stores have webbing in various widths. If you look hard enough, you'll find one that's 4" wide. Leather scrap bags from micheals have various thicknesses of leather, and proper tools aren't insanely expensive, either.....for about $20, you can make a 10 foot strap if you needed

Order online, cut carefully, and there you go. Or do the webbing thing mentioned above, and sew a strip of suede on the underside for friction.
