What you don't see is the father standing off to the side with a whip.

Really cool. Hard to imagine a kid that young being able to pick out the drum parts from the rest of the music.

You know they did some studies of babies back in the 50's on instinct and inherited knowledge? It seemed to show that infants under, oh say, 18 months, were actually very talented swimmers, where as babies older than that seemed to have lost that skill. That's what I was thinking about when I watched this, he is no doubt talented, but I wonder if once he hits 6 or 10 or something, he'll just lose it. If not that, then once he hits puberty, he'll lose all interest in the drums and start working on his skills with girls.

On the other hand, maybe he won't, in which case, by the time he's 20 he'll have mastered all the genres and playing styles out there and, out of boredom, will end up making records that sound like lawnmower shredding a microwave in a dishwasher.

Exciting times.

That was pretty cool. And I loved the look and the point at the camera with the drumstick around 6:55.

On some of his older videos his father mentioned that he's entirely self taught and picked up his technique from listening to songs and watching videos of other drummers.

No doubt where he got the stick point from.
