About Bass Case

Which one to choose?

Gator G-Tour ATA Bass Flight Case

or

Fender TSA002 Molded Case For Jazz And Precision Bass

If look at the price tag, seems that the Gator one is much better. But I'd like to know your comment on them please].

Thank You in advance.

I would go with the Fender molded case it stop your bass from moving inside the case. I have one bass in a molded and the other in a non-molded case, and I can hear my bass moving in the non-molded case.

I've had bad experiences with Gator. The high school I worked at got 2of them to house a couple of power amps, a mixer, and a CD player for the pep rally PA system. That gear went from a storage room on one side of the gym to the other side of the gym where it was set up for pep rallies. It was never hauled into a truck or took anything near strenuous road abuse, yet within a year, gaskets in lids, latches and handles were shot. This wasn't a one off deal. Both these cases were terrible as were others I've see owned by other musicians. I think Gator is the Behringer of case makers. Get the Fender. If you do go with a generic fit all case, go SKB.

I foolishly shopped by price alone once and the only Gator case I've owned fell apart from normal use.

The Fender case is made by SKB.
SKB make other models that are just as good and, in some instances, better than the Fender proprietary model.
I recently traded my MIA Jazz for a Precision and the SKB case the P bass came with in the trade is just as sturdy as the Fender case with the TSA002 lock but it is slimmer and easier to store and carry.

SKB / Fender case is very stout. I own two of them. Nice product and if you shop around you can find them for a good price.
