Album art: Does this look finished to you?

Alright, the format is self explanitory, but I'm just putting this in a rice paper sleeve and putting the CD between the art, which will be folded in half

I'll probably make it a tad smaller to avoid cropping. But this release is going to be super super cheap, I'm going to print this and photo copy it, for free. Like I said, cheap cheap cheap. But the art itself, is there anything I should add/subtract/divide/multiply?

Yes, that's a childhood photo of me, I wanted to echo the star theme on the back, without being cheesy. It's like all american, but creepy, like my new avatar, ha. But I did leave some of the white around the pic of me for edge seperation (so the black of my uniform doesn't blend into the black background). Reminder, this will be photo copied, so black and white is a must.

Thanks.

well first things first... it has to photocopy well... so you should be working on that aspect...

secondly, you should "bleed" it out slightly larger than the final size and have crop marks outside for guillotining the photocopies to. That way, you won't have ragged scissor edges and white bits at the edges.

just a couple of tips that'll help it look more professional even though you're trying to do it as cheaply as possible.

I forgot about the crop marks, great advice.

I'm going to use an awesome photo copier, so that will be alright. I'm trying to be very contrasty, even though the background will just kind of fade, which I don't mind. As long as the text and cover look alright, I think it will work.

Thanks.

the only thing i might try is bleeding out that white glow a little bit more, but there again, photocopying is going to lose or add to that glow anyway.

I think I am going to try a few "editions" have a couple variations with me, see how they look when they're copied.
