Anyone going to catch the new alice in chains tour?
http://www.aliceinchains.net/tour/default.aspx
I won't be able to see them since they aren't coming within a few states of me , a friend saw them this past weekend and said they was awesome- 2 hours of all the great songs from every cd, and even though their monitors went out they still played it spot on! I really wish they were coming though

Cool - they're playing nearby, and on a Sat nite. I'll have to catch the KC show.

I've got tickets to see them next month in San Francisco. Should be a great show.

Couldn't they have used a different band name?

I am a big AIC fan, but skipped the tour. I just didn't see the point. But to each their own!

Crap. I'm trying to think of the name AC/DC used before Bonn Scott rolled sevens.

Because it's not really Alice In Chains, seeing as Layne is dead.

Ok, point made. But still its 3/4 of AIC playing just AIC songs so would it make sense to have a different name? No.

I wish I could catch them in Philly but its sold out.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm still trying to think of the name AC/DC used pre-Brian Johnson. Anybody know?

Always been AC/DC. Don't know what your thinking of. Bon wasn't even the first singer anyway.

***?!? Dood that's gotta be wrong. No way it's the same band after a dead singer.

I decided to pass. I'm a huge fan and saw them open for Van Halen in support of the first album...AMAZING SHOW. But...alas, the "Layne Staley" AIC is what I want to remember, so no new tour for me. Enjoy the show, to those who go.

Ya, I saw that too, god is he and awful singer. I don't know what possesed him to think he could do any actual singing, especial AIC stuff.

then he kept putting his finger in his ear like it was the monitors fault.........ya right.

the American Idol dude with the fro butchered an AIC song pretty bad too, but not as bad as Anselmo.

Different situation.

If the current singer died now, I doubt they would find a new singer and continue on with the name Ac/Dc. If they did, it would be a farse.

Theres a difference AC/DC kept going after Bon Scott died. Alice in Chains broke up and now they are trying to rehash their hey-day
