Did a search for gear bags, found a few of the usual suspects, but nothing large enough to hold my Ultimate Genesis folding stand which measures 22" folded. At the moment I'm using an American Apparel gym bag, which is just large enough to fit, but otherwise sucks. Its just a nylon bag with one pocket, no organization or padding, and its not particularly durable. As it is, it's basically falling apart after 2 years of gigs.
What do you guys use? If anyone makes a normal sized gear bag with some external straps to to tie down the stand, well hell, that'd be awesome.

Sports bags come in all shapes and sizes -- a used sporting goods store is an AWESOME place to look. |

yes, i'm happy with my stand. my guitarist uses one of those little folding A-stands, but I've seen the consequences when someone even taps an instrument in one of those things. (luckily he plays a RELIC telecaster). and the size of a bass makes it even more unwieldy. the Ultimate stands, as well as the Hercules locking stands which are about the same size, are the only thing I trust on stage. At least until you get up to the size of the multi-instrument rack cases, which come in their own hard cases anyway.
i remembered i have a garment bag from Ogio that's built like a tank... looks like they have some multi-pocket duffel bags that might be worth a look. can't tell the dimensions from the website though. www.ogio.com
