I don't like KISS.
Scratch that. I can't freaking STAND KISS. I understand why some people like them, and I applaud their incredible business skills, but I wouldn't even consider paying for their music.
Opinions?

Their newer stuff is flamming turds. There are the living example of the saying 'it's better to burn out than fade away". But they are one of those bands people either love or they hate, no middle ground.

for example he was talking about not using drugs or drinking. so ill compere him to ian mackaye of fugazi
gene said "we treat our bodys the same way a olympic athlete would"
where as ian would say somthing like "its not my thing. if people are into it then well and good"

Bet they made a ton of money dressing like clowns and appealing to the younger generation. To me their entertainers first and musicians second, just listened to some cuts on the u-tube and I can see were the kids could enjoy them. Their loud and physical and assume the roles of jesters in a carnival. Hey whatever rings your bell, the older generation hated Elvis when he came along too. Its RnR I guess and any and everything goes! Doc |

Opinions? | You're not alone. I absolutely loath KISS. Their lyrics are frequently repetitive and stupid. None of those guys sing well.
"I wanna rock and roll all niiiiggghhhhtttt...& party every day" (repeat 60 times)
They have done well to market the whole glam hard rock party persona, whichappeals to some demographics, and put on a live show that focuses on the visual theatrical performance as much as the music. |

Opinions? | You're going to hate them even more when Gene comes knocking on your door for the royalties 'cause you said the 'K' word twice. You now owe him $30.

There was a period back in the 70s when Destroyer was my favorite album. I don't go out of my way to listen to Kiss anymore but if I hear Detroit Rock City it makes me smile.
