Am I a traitor now?

Because I am learning to play bass with my feet?

Found it on craigslist a few days ago, I always look at the pianos and whatnot because I've always wanted one. I came across this for really cheap and less than a mile from my house, so I went ahead and bought it.

It's a Hammond J-300 series (it's a j-312). All I have really found out about it is that it was made in the late 60s and is in awesome condition. It's not like the classic Hammonds with the tonewheel or the drawbars, but it still is pretty sweet.

I can't get a ton of sounds out of it, but it's still pretty awesome. It's also got a built in leslie which makes it 1000 times cooler.

It's a great organ for me to learn on, and I hope I keep practicing as much as I have been. One major bummer with organs is it gets crazy expensive(and heavy) really quick.

The same model? That's crazy, I've never really seen one before, and I can't find any info about them online.

I once saw a Hammond sitting in a senior's home completely neglected. Hammonds are the shiz man, congrats!

PS: If anyone's a traitor here, it's me....I started learning tunes on guitar recently!

I play bass, guitar and piano.
Bass because I love it...
Piano because it's fun...
Guitar because I can bring down stuckup guitarists

This was just sitting uncovered in his dark attic, and when I saw it I couldn't really tell how it was doing, but as soon as we took it outside I was amazed. For an instrument that is at least 40 years old it isn't doing too bad.

learning to play bass with your feet is awesome. Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Mike Rutherford all played Taurus Pedals.

Yes, you are a traitor!!! Repent and return at once to the bass side.

Oh, by the way, I just found someone on Craigslist giving on away for free. IT"S MINE.

Actually, learning to play with my feet is one of my favorite parts. It makes the organ so much more fun than just a keyboard.

you're not a man until you can play more bass pedals than that!

I routinely play that^ many bass pedals for church. uses both feet. and both hands. but not the same organ model by far...we use a modern electronic, not ancient looking pipe. Same amount of pedals though.
