Basically i've had my head in the repair shop for a week and have not been able to rehearse. So, i've been finding other things to do.. Like extra yard work... holy crap! Not my cup of tea, but it needs to be done. Even though it's only been a week, it feels like a freakin eternity!!

On that, i was curious what do you guys do in the meantime (other than spend too much time on TB)??

Seriously, you should have a spare amp. As you know, they sometimes break down.

I thought your response was funny but seriously, I learned this the hard way. You can score an old Peavey Mark series or Hartke 3500 for well under $200. Probably $100 if you hunt.

Well, I have a few spare amps ( not trying to be a smart ass), but I would play acoustically or just run over stuff in your head. You'd be surprised how effective this can be.

B***ing the wife is always a great distraction too. lol

I Have a Hartke 1400 (140w) as a spare and backup. That amp can do a lot if it's pushed.

I also have a 35W Ibanez combo and a blackface Bassman, so I'm nor hurting for backup.

Might look into headphone amps I'm on the search for a good one to use for practice on the road.

EDIT:
I just found out that if you play an active (pre-amp) bass, you can use headphones with a 1/4 jack (or a conversion jack) directly into the bass haha. It's not very loud, but if you have outside noise canceling headphones it would work great.

EDIT: wow, I fail. Pressed the wrong button when "editing":P

Shoot the smartasses. Get a thick rubber band and pluck it with your teeth, since you don't like the backup amp idea.
