That's pretty cool! I wish I had the dough. On sale on Denver's CL for anyone in the area. http://denver.craigslist.org/msg/985799719.html
Has anyone played through one of these? How are 9 speakers wired to 4 ohms?

| | | | Ah yes, an Ampeg V9 cab. The V9 rig was pretty much an SVT head voiced a bit differently for guitar, and it had reverb too. The matching V9 cab featured the nine 10's. Many Bass players actually liked the V9 rig better than a stock SVT setup. The late and great Allen Woody played used one these complete V9 rigs for his bass playing career with the Allman Brothers Band and of course Govt' Mule. How the V9 is wired to take 300 watts at 4 ohms I couldn't tell you. |

You'll end up with a 4 ohm load.

| | | | THanks for all the information. Aside from being designed as a guitar cabinet, I would have expected these to catch on. The look is pretty intense, and with more ideal speakers, I could dig it.
From what I've heard, Jucifer has a "Great wall" of speakers. I hope I can catch them around some time.
I live in Colorado Springs, but I'm up in Denver often.
Thanks for all the responses.

On subject though - Eric Judy uses a 9x10 as well. I'd love to play through one. |

However, anyone that uses this cab with a bass I think will be sorely dissappointed in the results. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
