Angel & Bass illustration from Blender or Rolling Stone?

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a superlong shot, but I'm looking for an illustration that was leading into the review section of either Rolling Stone or Blender from about 3 years ago.

It was a black and white illustration of an archangel playing a fender (i can't remember if it was p or j style bass) and looking fierce.

Finding this illustration has been haunting me for years, I should have ripped it out when I had the chance, but before I could someone threw away the stockpile of magazines in the bathroom (of which this was one) to make room for the new issues.

I've google image searched on and off for years and come up empty handed, can any one offer any leads on finding this illustration? I'm sorry I can't give anymore details...

It looked like:

except it was a black and white line illustration (masterfully done, it was perfect!) and instead of the sword it was a fender bass and the angel had it's left hand on the neck playing and the right arm was out/up if I'm remembing correctly.
