Annoying nail splitting.

I always get this with my left index fingernail.
Splits like this:

What do?

Ouch.

Do you bite your nails? if so, stop that.

I used to get splits like that when I gave myself oral manicures. I clip my nails now, and no more problems.

But I don't bite 'em.
Hardly abuse my fingers/fingernails, because I know how important they are.

But I gotta wait until I can get rid of the split before I can cut the nail properly.
The booboo hurts me quite badly, yes.

Eating jelly ( dont know what you call it in Canada, it think it's "gello" in the USA ) is supposed to be good for strengthing the nails. I think it's best taken before it's prepared i.e. straight from the packet.
