Another Italia Strap thread

Sign in to disble this ad
Just got my new Italia bass strap(s) today. This time around I bought a black seude version to use on my lightweight '72 Fender P. This strap is very very cool.
I am already a big fan of these straps and I own several.
The quality is as good as the other ones I have but the neat thing about the suede version is that is seems to be a little lighter. The material appears to be a little thinner. The strap width is the same comfortable 4" but it feels lighter overall.
The black suede looks fantastic on my black, naturally relic'd '72 P-bass.
I also got a chocolate brown one for the new "Myway One" parts bass that I built. Looks perfect against the blonde finish on the Highway body that I used for the project.
That's it.
Mike

I am all about Couch Guitar Straps. They are modern, hip, and comfy. They also grip strap bolts well.

Ever try one?

They are half the price you quoted but then I am not keen on hanging my bass on a 10 dollar strap.

You're using what again?

Found (like it was ever lost!) the Couch Strap page here:

http://www.couchguitarstraps.com/

Straps from recycled material = clever.

I did not find any wide straps but I am still poking around the site. Those narrow straps are not for me as I often play for hours, standing up and the bass really starts to get heavy.

FWIW...most of the time, the Italia Straps can be had for Buy One, Get One Free.

I have at least two now, have owned several others in the past (including a nice suede one), and am thinking about getting another pair. GREAT STRAPS!

A $5 strap from guitar center and a cut up sock for padding

Kind of sounds like those $180 power cable users. "Well, do you really expect me to power my $2000 rig with a $20 power cord?!"

Big difference between snake oil and wanting a quality strap.

I use Moody straps. They're not cheap, but they're built well, look good, feel great. IMO well worth the money.

Yup, my $32.50 black suede strap is exactly like a $180.00 power cable.......well maybe not. LOL

Seems like I read somewhere that the folks at Italia used to work for/were in business with Moody....
