Hah! You got me; I read the title and didn't realize that was a typo - I wanted to see what a "MEATL" was

Hi.

Another MEATL bites the dust.

The original Black Sabbath takes the cake for me though, always has, most probably always will.

MEATL was a typo?

Sheesh, I was getting all excited to be discussing a new tuning or algorithm for metal music

Typos can do that to a thread you know .

Not as hilarious as the quite common: "I am tired of playing with myself, I need to get some other people to play with" one sees every once and a while on the stringed instrument sites.

BTW, Twisted Sister is/was metal???

Got the meat part right though.

Regards
Sam

I think I read something somewhere (credible source, I know) that 'heavy metal' was first used to desribe groups with more string instruments than anything else.

If that is true just about all of todays music could fall into that category.

Twisted Sister is 80s hair rock, which is a derivative of metal. The definition of heavy metal has changed quite a bit since the early 70s, anyway.
