anti-GAS?

for the first time in my life I feel like I have way more gear than I need which has always been true but I always enjoyed the variety.

I recently started playing with a new band which seems to put the most serious effort than any band I've been to 'till now and after trying a few different basses and my pedal board I pretty much narrowed down my essential gear list to a 2 EQ Stingray, a Bass VT and a tuner pedal.

anything else I have is a commodity in the present situation and I'm really contemplating unloading a lot of my gear and can't think of any additional gear purchase that would actually be neccassary, useful or anything more than a thrilling gadgetery.

am I alone in this GAS regression? what might have attributed to this change of mind?
