I am working on writing a peice of jazz music for a jazz combo, that i play in, and i am writing the music for us to perform, but the project is so i can work on it for a trimester assessment and do a speech about how it was a challenge. I am thinking about doing it in A but including II-V-I progressions and false stops for drama, and some descending third progressions, any other ideas for theory or ways to transition. Just wondering.
