Nothing closer to Disney than the shop you're talking about (George's Music), but I highly recommend either renting a car or prevailing on one of the good Orlando TBers (there are several) to come get you, and take you HERE:

www.basscentral.com

It would be a shame to be about 30 minutes from there and not visit...

Yes, Georges music was the one i went in. Back then (2 years ago) i couldn't believe how cheap the Basses were. Even though i wasn't on the look out for one i was almost tempted to get a Fender.

As i'll be with the family it might not be a good idea to go off on my own, plus i dont drive so getting a car is out.
And god, if i went in to BC I'll end up spending all the holiday money :-).
Still, ill not rule out getting there somehow.

Well, if I were still living there (and working at BC ), I'd be happy to give you a ride to and from...you really should just make the trip up to the shop, it's like Disney for dad! Just leave the wallet and credit cards someplace safe (for crimony's sake, NOT with your wife! ) and check out the eye candy. They have more stuff there than you'll know what to do with....

...they always have a first rate collection of Roscoe basses on the wall, for example...

Gard,
This might strike you as heresy...but there was not a SINGLE Roscoe bass on the wall when I went there about 6 weeks ago. I've been many times, and almost every time there has been, but not that one

On topic: Bass Central is a terrible place to go if you don't plan on spending money...there's just way too much gorgeous wood (and some graphite, too).
