hey i just moved to philly and just started playing bass and i was wondering if there is much of a bass scene around here

I am in York, Pa 2 hours from Philly, but I grew up in Philly...
Philly had a great scene and probably still does..but I have been gone so long I can't tell you where, all the places I used to hang are gone...when you find out ...POST IT !! please.

Philly is said to have an excellent music scene. I spent some time in and around South Street and found a bunch of li'l mom-&-pop music stores.

My folks live in south Jersey (Burlington county) so they're close to Philly.

My home is in Nazareth (90min north), but through November I'm assigned to Ft Dix and have a room down in Mt Laurel...just over the bridges in NJ.

I live 5 minutes from Philly in Jersey. The Walt Whitman Bridge runs through my city.
