I love 'em to death, probably one of the best "stoner rock" (God I hate that phrase) bands still around, up there with Dead Meadow, in my estimation. And hey, they've got J Mascis on drums!

Yeah, one of the few Stoner Rock bands I can play at work (I work in a CD store, but I can't play stuff that's too heavy or weird ), I listened to the self titled at work a few days ago actually.

I got into them pretty much right after the self titled came out, but I haven't heard the newest album yet. Seer definitely is the "single" off the album, pretty catchy, especially for the genre they are playing.

J Mascis is a weird cat, my band was playing in his current home town (I forget where we were!) and all the locals talked about how reclusive he is, wandering around in a track suit all the time generally acting weird. Before we went on, we heard J was outside, the singer from our band was excited, he's a big Dinosaur Jr fan. So, he ran outside to find J getting in his car. The singer guy came up to him super friendly as he was starting up his car and said, "Hey, are you J?" And he just looked at him confused and said, "Yeaaahhhhhhhh..." in a weird tone as he was driving away.

Most great musicians are a bit spacey though.

Came across this name earlier today reading some old interviews, huh.

Good stuff. Would sound much better not through craptop "speakers."

EDIT: I need this album.
