Having to sell off my only bass, my amp,and one of my guitars. Been out of a job for over a month now. I have a job lined up but even then it'll probably be 3 weeks before I get my paycheck assuming I start this week, and bills are coming up. As much as I like to believe music is a necessity in my life, technically I can live without.Technically I do have a bass I can play,my grandpas old bass, but the frets are almost worn down to the fretboard and the nut is in bad shape, but it makes noise. Just trying to vent some frustration.

Anybody else with me?

Sorry to hear that. Yep, been there and done that myself years ago so I know the feeling. Hope things get better for you in the future.

Yea,not a joyful experience, but it can be replaced sooner or later. I'm not in a band right now so it's not a huge deal, but it's definitely going to cut back on a lot of practice I've had in mind doing.

Yeah; years ago I had to sell my upright and my '70 Gibson ES335 to pay the bills.

It hurt, but it's part of what gave me my current attitude of "it's just stuff". Nice stuff, sure, but not as important as the people I love, or my health.

I got cut loose after 22 years with the same company. So, this is all new to me. It's been 10 months. Been selling some basses and things, so far it's kept me afloat. But, if I don't get work comparable to what I had before, I will be selling everything and my life will be changing very drastically. Good luck to you.
