i notice that some of those are only borderline ska, and more punk/regae, but still like em

Well, I was going to say "you're the last one", but it looks like there's at least 4 of you at this point. I'm gonna go spin some New Model Army knowing that mid 80's New Wave music pwns.

Mike

not as much as I used to be, but still enjoy a good skank here and there.

too many bands to list. I like more of the trad and 2nd wave stuff. Although it is fun to rock out to Streetlight or Skankin Pickle or Big D or the early Aquabats stuff, or Reel Big Fish, etc.

Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Madness, English Beat were all fun...

I did, about 6 years ago when I was in high school.

I was really into MU330, Big D And The Kids Table, Less Than Jake, Slow Gherkin, and Reel Big Fish.

These days, I really do not like listening to the stuff.

When I was in St. Louis, we stayed at some guy's house who looked JUST like the singer of The Urge. He had a picture of himself WITH the band on stage, and an accompanying article (from a reunion show.) Ended up that the guy's house we were staying at is just real good friends with the band and was singing a few songs with them.

Wow, all this brings back memories. My band back in the college days actually played with The Urge. From what I remember, Karl Grable was a nice cat.

Funny enough, someone just created a Myspace page featuring this group - check it out (link below). I hadn't heard some of those tunes for nearly 10 years, but can't believe how tasty our drummer and horn section in particular truly were. And some nice muscular 5-string bass
playing if I do say so myself! ! Dig the tasty funk break on Chicago Bus Driver! Not bad for a then-18 year old!
