If I want to listen to lite jazz, I'll call my dentist.

Gahaha.

I saw MMW a couple weeks ago. They're awesome musicians, and I was really into the show, but they are kind of Jazz for Jam band fans. Which makes it all the better when they break into an atonal free-jazz jam. Sure, it's got nothing on John Zorn, but you you can feel the confusion mix in with the pot and the patchouli in the crowd, and it's priceless.

Doesn't make them bad, though, and I'd love to have a lesson from Chris Wood.

I'm surprised this thread never got much attention. I just submitted my application (today is the deadline). Anyone else?

I trully hate myself, but I cannot stop it:

How much would it cost to fix it?

Again, I apologize. An old joke, but one I can never pass up.

Sounds awesome. If I had the money I would definitely go. Chris Wood is definitely a bass player I would love to hang out with.

+1. LOL. I'm used to it though. When you don't post a bunch every day, you post something and people are like "I don't know this guy" and they move on.

Did you attend this?

Camp MMW 2008

Here are two public blogs/reports by a couple of fellow campers; between them they should give you a flavor:

http://www.ropeadope.com/music/artic...w_day_1_vol_1/

http://bubblehouse.org/home/camp-mmw-rocked-my-face-off

In a word, it was 5 days of sheer musician's bliss, and we all went home with a lifetime's worth of ideas to work on. Far too much to summarize, but I'll be happy to try to answer any particular questions you have about it.
