Anyone dig the idea of a Morphine cover band?

Someone contacted me today about starting up a Morphine cover band. Now, being the rabid Morphine music feind that I am, I woud love to, but I'm wondering how "marketable" it is. I know near the end they were major label, and did some amazing work, but are they too "precious" to people as to be better left alone?

Every time I saw them live, I was surrounded by some of the kindest most mellow people (say what you will) and it was always a moving experience.

What say you?

I love me some Morphine, but who's going to play the saxophone(s)?

Morphine had a huge following so I would do it...plus two string slide bass would be pretty damn fun.

Right? The only thing is I dunno if I could *ever* be as smoov as Mark.

Oy. it does sound like a fun thing. Indeed. I've got slides. I've got strings... and dare-say some ability.

We'll see what happens.
