Agh, I could not for the life of me buckle down and concentrate on bass tonight. I just couldn't, so I am putting it down until Monday at which point I will hopefully be able to pick it up again. I normally practice a lot and I think I get burned out really easily. Anyone else have this problem? |

I think you are on the right path by putting it down and coming back to it in a few days. Sometimes I get bored when I am not learning anything new. Maybe find a fresh lesson or anything that you want to learn that is outside of the norm.

The audience simply doesn't know, or care what bass you play. If it feels good, play it!

When I do, I just put down the bass for a while (anywhere from a few hours to a few days) until I feel that urge to pick it up again. A good night's sleep often will take care of it for me. |

i do it all the time. most of the time, the time off helps me to play better and appreciate it more. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
