Only with stuff that means something to me. Like my first bass ever, my first fiver my dad picked especially for me, that stuff stays.
Or if I need it. Like my only gigging amp.

It depends on what you need the money for in college. If it's necessities, you're probably going to have to part ways with something, unless you can find another way to get some cash.

Oh yeah, when it comes to basses anyway.
I've never sold a bass, ever. Bought my very first bass in the early eighties.

Sold a couple of rigs, and sold off a few of the smaller items I wasn't using anymore, but I guess you could put me in that "problem" category of yours.

Oh yeah! I sold my 6 recently to switch to a 4. (I found that the 4 made me work harder, and I liked that) But it was my first REAL bass. But I'm also broke. It killed me to sell it. It was so pretty and warm on those cold nights.

At least the guy I sold it to was going to use it in a Primus cover band. I feel good that she'll be used to her full potential.
