Question Anyone else not like Primus?

It seems like everyone on here loves Primus. I, in particular, really don't like them. Are there any other bassists who don't like Primus?

I don't like them. But I do appreciate the skill and originality that Les brings to the instrument. Just not my taste.

I love Primus, seen them and Les over 20 times. I saw them open for RUSH back in 97 for the RUSH Counterpars tour. They are coming out with a new album this spring/summer

sorry that would have been 1993 for them opening for RUSH - probably the greatest concert ever!

I saw them in 87 or so, opening for the Chili Peppers in a TINY club in Berkeley. Awesome. No, I don't not like Primus.

Aye, as the previous poster said, I've always been impressed with what they did (very impressive musicians) without really grokking it as music per se. Amusing, impressive technically, but it's like some critical ingredient was left out leaving it "not to my taste".

I too saw them open for Rush on their "Roll The Bones" tour.
It was the first i'd heared of them. Didnt care for them - too quirky for me. His "vocal" approach didnt appeal to me either.
But I do acknowledge Les has the skills.

How could anyone not like Primus? It's not just Les... It's also amazing drums, and exquisite noise guitar skills as well.

Can't recall the last time I saw a post here declaring undieing love for Primus, so not sure where the idea that everyone here loves them comes from.

Not my thing and Les is not my type of bass player. Nothing against them. Just my personal preference.

I appreciate their skills and originality, but I don't find their music enjoyable. Some of it is fun, but even the most melodic songs are somewhat grating.
