I have my church services that I'm playing at; two services at 5 and 7pm. Had rehearsal today with the choir and the kids. We do pretty much a service done completely to music.

I sat in one two songs with my bf's band tonight...honestly I was nervous because I didn't play much bass with the band when the other bass player was there (he played a five string, and it was a lot of trouble to switch out to my bf's four string). I had gotten used to singing with the band. Now that my bf is playing bass again, I have more oppertunities to play, but I was nervous in playing cause of not playing live as much. Plus the guy they hired to fill in the missing spot (guitarist), I was nervous playing with a different band member I wasn't used to playing with anymore (he used to be with the band before, and was re-hired back). But I played flawlessly and was quite proud of myself!

Yeah; played the Glengarry (a Grab-a-Granny gig just north of the Perth CBD). The dance floor was full from song one, and some drunk Russian dude handed me a 50 at the end of the night.

The singer was totally maggotted by the last set (and drove home, the silly bugger), but so was most of the audience so no-one noticed and they all had a great time.

Dodged drunks all the way home...

I play Christmas most years. This is one of my off years. Christmas Eve gigs are usually packed to the rafters IMHO. I went by my house gig last night, it was nuts. Standing room only and turning people away...Honestly, I think I'd rather play Christmas Eve than New Years Eve (ugh!)
