Anyone ever shipped an SVT-CL or other All-Tube Head?

I just cemented a trade for my SVT-CL, and since I have to ship, I was wondering if anyone has any advice or tips for packing and shipping an all-tube head.

I'm planning on taking out the tubes and wrapping them in bubble wrap. Is there anything else I should do?

I'll be using Fedex, if that matters.

Bubble wrap the tubes individually, as you said. I would put them in another little box, to ride along in the big box. Find a box that's bigger to allow adequate packing material all the way around. Make sure that the packing material is firm enough to prevent settling or movement in the box. I sold an antique SVT last year and did those things with great success. I always overdo it, but I think it pays off.
