Ever been to AGF before? Marvin's Mountaintop is a pretty rad site.
Some folks will camp and the sides of hills, but I've never seen a car parked in a dangerous or unsafe way.
They say the same thing about camping/parking every year. Actually the
entire "the scoop" page on their site hasn't changed in years. Said the same thing last year, but wasn't so when you got down there. Camping next to your car last year was a major plus. Hauling gear two years ago was a huge P.I.T.A. Also, having your car near you means you have a safe place to keep things locked up near by. A few years back my group's tents got robbed at Berkshire Mountain Music Festival. Nothing major was stolen, but it was not fun. You get scumbags that show up at these things to sell meth/crack/speed/haroine and to rip people off. Having to break into a car is a major deterrent.
