I'm there. Thursday morning early arrival. I'm going down with a group of 23. This will be my third AGF. Every year gets better and better. I really hope this year's parking situation is like last year where you just camp next to your car. Two years ago you had to park in one location and hike to your camping location. That $ucked.

The website says you have to park in one area and camp in another. That's not so bad, probably not safe to camp and park on hills. It's easier hauling everything back too.

Ever been to AGF before? Marvin's Mountaintop is a pretty rad site.

Some folks will camp and the sides of hills, but I've never seen a car parked in a dangerous or unsafe way.

They say the same thing about camping/parking every year. Actually the entire "the scoop" page on their site hasn't changed in years. Said the same thing last year, but wasn't so when you got down there. Camping next to your car last year was a major plus. Hauling gear two years ago was a huge P.I.T.A. Also, having your car near you means you have a safe place to keep things locked up near by. A few years back my group's tents got robbed at Berkshire Mountain Music Festival. Nothing major was stolen, but it was not fun. You get scumbags that show up at these things to sell meth/crack/speed/haroine and to rip people off. Having to break into a car is a major deterrent.

good point about the locked car. went to a fest in WV a few years ago called the Spring Fling. 3 nights of music, whitewater rafting one day, pretty sweet. Tons of shady people tho. a few ods, some fights, think that was the last year of that.

this will be my first time to Allgood, and I'm looking forward to it. It's actually serving as my bachelor party!

I've been to plenty of fests before, but not in a few years, not sure yet how I'm going to make it to the late night shows.
