Anyone have an opinion on Agile Guitars? Specifically the Dauntless

The look of it rocks, the EMG pickups are solid, the price is very right, but in the end, how crappy is it really?

I don't play guitar ever really, except once in a while to hear what some of the riffs I write will sound like off of my bass. I already have an SX strat copy and a Squier strat with some Bill Lawrence humbuckers and I really don't like either one. I can afford a real Les Paul but it's hard to justify dropping that much money on something I don't need.

Agile guitars are some of the BEST you can buy in that price range. Touch them up a little if you want, and you have one heck of a guitar for one heck of a price.

Great thing is, you can buy it, try it, and then return it no questions asked.

What he said. The only thing lacking on them is the pickups, but if that has EMGs in it and you dig EMGs, you are all set.

DO IT.

Agile is a great brand; a guitarist I play with regularly (who's also one of my best friends) bought an Agile AL-3000, which is now far and away his main player. The pickups in his are quite good, but tossing in EMGs can only make the axe sweeter. Fit and finish on his are top notch, about what you'd expect from an American-made instrument. And that silverburst finish looks wicked.

There's no reason not to get one. I'm waiting for the Agile six-string short-scale bass to come out, and I'll have one too!
