anyone here play a theremin?

like the title says does anyone here play a theremin? i'm looking around to see where to get one without having to import one in if i can, either way they look like a lot of fun. So do any of you guys here have any experience with them and can tell a guy what to look for/avoid when buying a theremin?

There are kits available. My guitarist made one. nice wood case.
