Lately I've been listening to a lot of stuff such as The Tigerlilies, Dresden Dolls and Rasputina (my favourite). I really like the ethereal compositions and darkly clever lyrics.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem like Edmonton has a dark cabaret scene (does anywhere?).
Anyone else into this stuff? |

He's still a fairly huge fan of them. I like them, but in a comparatively restrained way.
But they need a bass player.

I think the epitome of modern dark cabaret is Diabolical Streak, the first studio album by Jill Tracy and the Malcontent Orchestra. HIGHLY recommended!!!

I checked out a couple songs from that Jill Tracy album and loved it, I'll have to see if I can pick it up anywhere.
Anyone know of any other groups I should check out? Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

That happens to me, too!
What a surprise.
