Question Anyone know of a JamPod-like practice gadget?

Sign in to disble this ad
I was trying to buy a JamPod alast week, but I noticed that DVForge's website's gone, and the other/parent company that sells them has no Canadian distributor, They also got kinda creamed in the reviews department, but the idea's freaking great.

For those who don't know, it's a wee box you stick onto your iPod, then you plug your guit-- uh, I mean bass -- in and jam along with the tunes on your 'Pod without shaking the neighbours outta bed.

Anyone know of someone else who makes such a gadget?

Thanks,

Jes

Not quite the same thing, but I use a Pandora in the same way.

The Pocket Rockit pretty much does the same thing with one more wire.

+1.

It's also a hoot, if you're into "experimental music", to have a pre-recorded sound, whether it be a voice, or sound effect, or clip from a song, and use the Pandora's key trainer to really screw with it. If you make use of mute / tuners well, you can also switch between playing bass, and playing your "iPod" through your amp, with all the effects of the pandora. Think ATDI live pre-show noise.

Couldn't reccomend it enough, as a practice tool and inspirational / creativity conjuring contraption (alliteration, woo).
