| Anyone in the National Guard or Reserve bands?

Hey folks,
I'm strongly considering joining the National Guard band. Just wondering if anyone else here has taken that route? I have 4 years of active duty prior service (not as a musician), and the idea of being able to do some gigs and have it count toward retirement is very attractive. I also realize that I'll be doing some other work besides music. But just wondering if any other TB'ers have done this and what your experiences have been?
