Anyone Play The LA Marathon today??

Didn't really know where to put this... sorry if it's misplaced.

I ran my first marathon today - what an amazing experience. I'm slow... finished time was 5:32:05 - I was hoping for a sub-five-minute time but was way off!

Anyway - there were tons of bands playing along the race course and most of them sounded pretty good - so if you were one of the bass players in one of those bands THANKS! You made the run a lot more fun and interesting!!

WTG & congrats on finishing your first marathon! I know you feel great accomplishing something most people wouldn't dream of trying. How long have you been running and how long did you train specifically for the mary?

My best friend runs marathons and triathlons and has been pressuring me to run one with him. I ran a very hilly 12k a few months ago that just wiped me out, so I'll stick with the 5 & 10k races for now. I took 2nd place in my class in my last 5k and my son won his class the same race. It was his 1st race, the little bugger! He's a soccer player so it wasn't a big deal to him. Hmmfff!!
