I've been very tempted lately to learn how to play lap steel guitar, but the only thing I know about them is the sound cool Does anyone know some good lap steel guitars for less than $300? new or used
I haven't gotten past the "making noises like cat sex" stage myself with mine, but you can get a cheap start at MF - on sale for $49 . There's several others out there for under $300.

You can find a good Supro or maybe a National or Oahu around the $300 area. Here is a pretty good listing with some below and right at your $300 ceiling.
