Anyone seeing Emperor tonight in NYC?

Sign in to disble this ad
How may diehard metal fans are seeing the mighty return of Emperor tonight or tomorrow night at BB King's in NYC?

Has anyone ever seen them before and if so, how was the show?

I know I have my ticket and can't wait until tonight.

yes, that is Emperor alright. I don't really know if they're just reuniting for this tour or going to record any more studio albums.

Coolness, they're performing at Wacken, too!

One of my favorite BM bands \m/

man i wanted to go to this soooooo bad. i really hope they end up playing more shows in the USA besides just in NYC and LA. A friend of mine travelled to Norway and saw them there. He was in the same breakfast line for the hotel breakfast bar as Ihsahn. That would rule so much.

Amazing live band, from what I've seen on youtube at least. Great band, their first album was their best. Nightside eclipse

I was too tired by the time I got home last night to write....it was an amazing show.

One disappointment was that Samoth the guitar player wasn't there because of passport or immigration problems so Isahn had to cover both guitar parts. It sounded a little empty in parts but was still awesome.

They played for about an hour and 15 min plus an encore. If anyone gets a chance to see the show, you will enjoy it.

yep. It was either $65 or $100 which included an autographed poster and early admission inside to meet the band, but that seemed like a waste of money.

I guess it's so pricey because who knows when they will be around again. They basically disbanded 5 years ago and this was the only NY area appearance.
