i used to base all my songwriting on the cat i lived with. when she sat next to me, i knew i got something right.

My old cat used to hate listening to me play every style of music but reggae. He'd stalk off in a huff if I played anything else anywhere near him, but when I pulled out the reggae he was all over me and the instrument like white on rice.

My black and white cat went though a phase of sleeping on my keyboards - i think it was a camouflage thing!! (she slept on a few other B&W things too). Her hair ended up getting in the mechanism and I had to pull the whole thing apart to clean it....
Another of my cats used to sleep in my bass case every time I took the bass out to practise.
