Anything getting in the way of play/practice time?

Sign in to disble this ad
Right now I'm not playing as much as I'd like because of the Stanley Cup playoffs. I'm only watching the Red Wings (now battling the Ducks in round 2) but the games are enough to seriously cut into my playing time.

Anyone else have any distractions from playing, avoidable or otherwise?

Ummmm..... There's a web site that takes up some of my playing time. Maybe you've heard of it.

Arbys, dude. The "Arby-Q" sauce has impregnated my hands to the point where I can no longer play. Its like motor oil, and you can't wash it off.

Send help.

Awesome. My "TB Quote O' The Day"! I loves me some Arby's, too.

Three things seem to "get in the way" of my playing/practicing: a two year old, a six year old (sons) and a "thirtysomething" year old (wife). Yup, life has a way of doing that to ya...

Right now I'm not playing as much because none of my electric basses are fully functional at the moment... and I'm supposed to be doing this essay for one of my classes.

School... man it blows... MCAS... ugghh

And the Red Sox are on now. I honestly feel guilty if I don't watch the full nine innings... and if anyone says their a yankees fan (my cousin is) their not my friend anymore Every time the Yanks beat the Sox I fell like I need to go burn a Matsiu jersey. And now I have to worry bout the Rays, and there goes another shirt to the baseball gods (RIP Dom Dimaggio, YOU WERE A BEAST) All this baseball (162 games) absorbs WWWAAAYYY too much of my time, and like I said I do go to school, unfortunatly, but I still get consistent practice unlike some of ya... I feel lucky

Definitely School & Work. I'm also learning German on the side because I feel that after I get my degree, I'll end up in Europe somewhere and I'll be in a situation where knowing German and/or French will be a handy tool to have.

Also in the way of my playing is the lack of decent setup on my two main basses. I'm replacing pickups in both, so I'll just take it to the repair man and have him do it all for me when the pickups come in.

I love watching all hockey at any level. This is the best time of the year for me. Being from MI I follow all MI sports teams but I love all sports except basketball and especially hockey. When the Pens/Caps game went into oevertime last night I figured it'd probably be 2 extra periods and my 10pm-11pm practice routine would be blown. Its happened a few times this season but there is nothing better than overtime hockey.
