What do you mean by music? You could get an apprenticeship with a luthier. Or if your friends with the people at your local music shop they might let you hang around and show you some stuff. Does that answer your question? I'm not really sure what you mean when you just say "music"

Ummm I'm not sure, you can go to college for that but I'm not really sure about being an apprentice. That would just be like a 9-5 bass lessons (that would be amazing). I hope someone else posts on here to help you out cuz I don't have an answer. Sorry my friend

I'm unaware that musicians ever entered into formal apprenticeship relationships. However, it was common for a younger player to get hired to play among experienced players in a band. This happens with jazz and legit music all the time. It's how I got my start, though I never advanced to the full time pro level.

Of course that only works in genres where the maximum age isn't 25.

It has always existed, except by another name. It's called playing hundreds of real gigs with anybody and everybody, especially with musicians better and more experienced than you.

I have been learning bass for 40 years and do not call myself "Master" yet. There is always growth to achieve and maintain.

Read the Miles Davis autobiography for more information on how to apprentice with more experienced musicians.
