With all the talk about her, and especially the booing she got at the Orange Bowl recently - which I haven't heard since...well, pretty much ever - it seems time that we come up with a 'term' for what she basically stands for - which to me is charm, cutsieness, looks (though some would say not quite enough to make up for anything) and image above all else - in short a description that would and could be used to exemplify the state of contemporary 'pop' music.

What I don't get is all the Ashlee Simpson threads bashing her. I'm sorry I don't find what she has done to be that big a deal because every one of them chessy A*$ pop groups are doing it she just got cought on TV.

They knew what they were, they embraced it and they became famous through it. Ashlee Simpson, on the other hand, is a pop singer who tries to act punk. The anarchy symbols, the clothes, everything. She is like a disease that mutates and spreads from one genre to another, trying to crap over all types of modern music.
