YM has also written a handful of tasty songs, Far Beyond the Sun comes to mind. He actually knows how to compose and his tone ain't bad either (you can really hear it in the sustained notes that the dude got tone in his sausage fingers)

He's a bit of a love it or hate it affair, but he certainly knows what he's doing. Mindless shredding sounds different.

I guess I don't really care too much about other folks' BPM, though. It doesn't really make a difference in how I play. I can go as fast (or as slow) as a particular song calls for.

I can't abide it when folks answer questions by de-legitimizing them. I don't care how fast folks can play but some people do care. Why not let them talk about it?
