What tunes from Phish would you recommend to play for a musician friend to introduce them to the music. I don't know that there would be an entire album. But if you have an opinion then please chime.
name of tune + album?
I'm thinking
Llama - A Picture of Nectar
Tweezer - A Picture of Nectar
Chalk Dust Torture - A Picture of Nectar
just to start with. i have more ideas but want to hear from others.
(put's on the "Phish sux" flame suit)

and don't leave out the farmhouse cd--i think the title track, dirt and sand are all awesome offerings |

and to really screw up my perception of that song, i bought the white tapes before i heard the junta version--that was a very unique YEM! |

YEM is nice little brain twister. i also like how they screw with you rhythmically on the beginning of Mound from Rift.

| | | | Get A LIVE ONE, phish never has been nor ever will be defined by their studio sounds.
They are a LIVE band, and as such if you want to introduce someone to phish it needs to be in the context of live phish..... |
